Police Department

The Excelsior Springs Police Department enforces the law, maintains the peace, protects life and property and promotes the quality of life in Excelsior Springs. To accomplish our mission, we depend upon partnership among citizens, elected officials and city employees.

Responsibilities:

• Enforcement of all state criminal laws and city ordinances
• Maintain peace within city limits
• Respond to all reports of crime within city limits
• Ensure orderly movement of traffic through city
• Educate public about existing laws and regulations
• Apprehend perpetrators and present evidence in court
• Provide administrative staff for D.A.R.E. program
